Job Summary
The Department of Mathematics at the University of Colorado
Boulder invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at
the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning in Fall 2027 (August
2027). We are especially interested in candidates working at the
interface of artificial intelligence and mathematics. Areas of
interest include, but are not limited to, the mathematical
foundations of AI, formalization and automated reasoning,
advancement of AI for mathematical research, and AI safety. We seek
candidates who can lead development of AI-related research,
education, and programming within the Department of Mathematics and
across the CU Boulder campus.
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in mathematics or a closely related
field by the start of the appointment. Successful candidates will
be expected to maintain an active, independent research program, to
teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and to
contribute to the service and intellectual life of…
