High school graduate
Preferably college experience
Experience working with children
Must be able to lift 30 pounds
REPORTS TO:
Teacher(s) assigned
CONFERS WITH:
Teacher(s), Specialists, and Building Administrator
JOB GOAL:
To implement instructional activities and programs as directed
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with students individually, in small groups, or in large groups as necessary and as prescribed by the immediate supervisor.
Classroom and Support Assistants: Usually work with students in the general school population.
Special Education Assistants: Usually work with students with identified special needs, or who require additional educational assistance as defined in an individual education plan (IEP). Assistants provide support in the appropriate educational…
