GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under general supervision of assigned supervisor, performs duties in police service depending on the area of assignment. May be assigned to any of the work areas described below.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
Depending on area of assignment determined by departmental requirements and at the discretion of the department:
If licensed as a Peace Officer from another state or equivalent job function within any branch of the armed forces of the United States with two or more years of service: attends recruit training courses providing classroom and field instruction in basic police procedures, techniques and laws including lectures, practical demonstrations and participation in courses covering areas such as patrol science and criminal investigation, criminal and traffic laws and airport ordinances, use of weapons, preparation of records, public relations and fundamental principles of psychology and sociology.Respond to calls for police service to…
