SOC Tier 1 Security Analyst
Position Overview
This role is responsible for monitoring security events within a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platform, performing initial alert analysis and triage, managing event aggregation and correlation, and escalating potentially significant security events to the appropriate security operations teams.
The position operates within a 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year (24x7) security operations environment.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor security events and alerts within the customer's Google SecOps SIEM platform.
Perform Tier 1 alert and event triage, assessing alerts for relevance, severity, and potential security impact.
Review and manage aggregated security events to identify related activity and reduce duplicate or unnecessary tickets.
Perform initial event correlation to identify potentially related alerts and security activity.
