We seek applicants in support of the department's vision of creating solutions for cities, communities, and nature to thrive, with a particular focus on water or air quality (https://cee.stanford.edu/research-impact). While we give highest priority to the originality, quality, and potential impact of the candidate's work, we are especially interested in applicants whose research advances the characterization, assessment, and mitigation of risks to clean air and safe water in natural and engineered systems including resource recovery, physiochemical treatment systems, scalable water and wastewater services, and air quality engineering solutions linked to climate, energy use, and health outcomes, among others.
