About This Role
The Department of Health Services (DHS), Wisconsin Resource Center (WRC) is recruiting to fill an HVAC/Refrigeration Specialist-Advanced position. This position primarily works Monday-Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm but may work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as needed.
As an HVAC/Refrigeration Specialist-Advanced at WRC, you will be responsible for the operation of mechanical, HVAC, and refrigeration systems for WRC. You may provide occasional work and support as needed at the neighboring facility Winnebago Mental Health Institute (WMHI). Responsibilities include:
Diagnosing building mechanical problems and insuring satisfactory operation of building systems.
Identifying, correcting, reporting, and communicating building operational and maintenance needs.
Performing repairs on electromechanical detention equipment and commercial appliances.
Performing scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance actions on equipment.
