The Role
General Motors is seeking qualified Industrial Electrician Journeypersons. In this role, you will work with minimal supervision, responsible for the layout, installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of sophisticated electrical equipment and circuits. You’ll utilize your troubleshooting and technical skills on control systems to enhance operational efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Ensure compliance with established safety protocols in alignment with OSHA standards and company policies.
• Maintain and repair a variety of electrical equipment.
• Quickly analyze and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, diagnosing and correcting issues to minimize production downtimes.
• Conduct electrical preventative and corrective maintenance on all plant equipment.
• Foster teamwork and collaboration with other departments.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and wiring schematics.
