Main Purpose of Job
The main purpose of this position is to provide psychological assessments and treatment to Springfield Hospital Center (SHC) patients with serious, persistent mental illness, personality disorders, co-occurring disorders, addiction, and trauma and recovery issues. Services facilitate recovery, increase optimal patient functioning, and facilitate rapid successful community re-entry. Treatment and assessments are evidence-based treatment and/or proven to advance patients towards successful community re-entry. This position will provide assistance with training and clinical guidance of psychologists, psychology interns, and psychology externs where needed and/or appropriate.
