A Snapshot of Your Day
This position is responsible for performing the assembly, welding, and rework of industrial gas and steam turbine components, including rings, vanes, and small parts, with minimal supervision while meeting manufacturing and customer specifications. Daily duties include reading and interpreting work travelers, blueprints, and related documentation to determine welding requirements; setting up and operating welding equipment and workstations; selecting the appropriate weld wire and materials based on product specifications; preparing, polishing, and inspecting components prior to welding; and performing structural and cosmetic welds in accordance with established manufacturing standards. The role also involves ensuring quality workmanship, supporting new part manufacturing processes, and completing assigned production tasks safely, accurately, and efficiently.
